Frequently Asked Questions
Our HOMEART Tiles work great on: Painted gypsum (allow 3 weeks of “curing time” for freshly painted walls); On top of existing, smooth and clean ceramic tiles; Wall panel (acrylic); Mirrors; Wallpaper or wallcoverings; Wall linoleum; Stainless metal. Just make sure the surface in clean and dry before installation.
HOMEART Tiles are not suited for porous surfaces such as stucco walls, unfinished walls (gypsum or plaster), stones, bricks, untreated plywood, inside shower walls and commercial/outdoor applications.
For cleaning, simply use a sponge to restore the shine of HOMEART Tiles. Use a mild non-abrasive household cleaning product such as dish soap, a cream cleanser or a glass cleaner.
Our tiles are resistant to the humidity of a bathroom. However, it is not recommended to install HOMEART Tiles where they will be in direct contact with water (e.g. Shower stalls). Usually, depending on the surface and the surrounding environment, tile's adhesive backing may wear off.
The 3d adhesive tile stickers are removable with little to zero damage, depending on the surface they were installed. On painted walls, some paint spots can come off. On exisitng backsplash, there is usually no damage. To make it easy, use a hair dryer to soften the glue, than peel off slowly.
We recommend waiting up to three weeks for fresh paint to cure before putting our peel and stick tiles on the wall to ensure best results.
HOMEART Tiles can adhere to many clean and flat surfaces. However, different surface treatments may impact the adhesive properties of the product. If you notice curling or loosening, simply use a strong bond adhesive spray on the tiles (or directly onto the surface). Even with this extra step, our peel and stick tiles are still easier, and more affordable, to install than ANY other genuine tile.
